Assessment & Recommendations

The overriding objective of All Needs Planning is to help protect your family and your loved one with a disability, allowing you to overcome obstacles and live the life you desire. The first step in that process is for us to do a full, in-depth assessment of your family’s current situation, and to make detailed recommendations on how best to achieve your goals. Our assessment process is comprehensive and includes:

Funding Assessment and Recommendations

From retirement to independent living to medical costs, your family will need a reliable funding strategy. To assess where you are today and what you need in the future, we will:

• Calculate your loved one’s lifetime cost of care.

• Review your family’s financial statements and assets.

• Discuss your family’s goals including retirement, vacation, independent living, and more.

• Review the findings from the funding assessment, your financial statements, assets, and other resources, and identify any gaps.

• Look for opportunities for tax efficiency.

Legal Assessment and Recommendations

A sound legal and estate strategy is important for every family, especially for special needs families. In this analysis, we will:

• Review your current legal documents.

• Identify whether there are any gaps that pose a risk.

• Map your estate so you can see the flow of assets from one generation to the next.

• Provide strategic document recommendations.

• Analyze decision-making support.

• Address trustee and guardianship decisions.

Support Assessment and Recommendations

Families experiencing disability need proper and sufficient lifelong supports to address all their various needs, including medical, therapeutic, educational, and so on. In our analysis, we will:

• Review your loved one’s current services and related documents (IEP, IFSP, etc.).

• Understand and consider the support needs of every family member.

• Recognize current and future aging-support needs and any services or plans already in place.

• Identify any gaps in services.

• Establish a strategy to address the current and future support needs of every family member.

• Provide strategic support recommendations.

Throughout this process, we carefully monitor how each of these three areas ties together, making sure that they are all “singing the same song” for the benefit of your family.

Your Role

At the end of the Assessment and Recommendations process, we will present you with a comprehensive report and discuss the findings alongside our recommendations. We will also provide you with a roadmap to implementation and identify what fees would be involved with that process.

Your responsibilities are as follows:

• Provide everything requested in the special needs planning checklist.

• Commit to attending four meetings.

Our Fee

Our fee for compiling your Assessment and Recommendations report is $3,500. This is due at the time of signing the planning agreement, which we will send you via email.

Once we have delivered your report and we all agree on a path forward, we will then get straight to work implementing, monitoring, advocating, and continuing to strategize on behalf of your family!
